Always warm... always unique

I honor souls/soles with unique felt foot wear that combine beauty and humor. I am humbled in their making. They are shown on walls and most often worn. A chartruse passion slipper is in a museum in France, a King of a house hold, his father and faithful servant walks about in France with them and a monster wears claws in England. Designed and custom made in my studio on Salt Spring Island BC Canada, I'm influenced by stories, history, punk hair styles, nature, myths & my very own inner angels and demons.... oh and sheep.

* One of a kind wearable art; I’m often designing yet another a slipper influenced from one I just made or the zillion places ideas come from, this lastest are geometric with a play of dreads; the long finger like felt shapes.

* Made of 100% wool felt and leather soles

* They are washable! But only by hand... You can spin them in the washer to speed drying time but not through the wash cycle, they’ll shrink and / or wrap them in a towel and apply pressure. Don’t put them in the dryer they’ll shrink five sizes too small.

I began making the toes longer, so long they became nonwearable. They literally became containers for the soul as well as the sole. The containers then metamorphed into cocoons that reflect going inside ourselves to incubate soulful transformation from life to death, innocence to wisdom, from an old way of being to a new.

The felt is made of 100% wool of Merino, Border Lester, Romni and Corridale Sheep. Hand felted and dyed in my studio. The inner soles are felt, with leather soles. To order a pair, please email me your choice of a design of slipper, your foot out line or length and size. Payment is mailed.
